PinkHockey  News  &  Info

PinkHockey is booming: This year there are already three new teams or clubs within our family:

The Guns N’ Roses (GB):

During the EuroGames 2007 in Antwerp it was the first time British team participated. Both in the mens and female tournament a British team was represented. As firsttimers we did pretty well: silver for the Roses and bronze for the London Knights as they were called at that time. During the tournamant the teams became so close that the boys decided to rename themselves info Guns. A new PinkHockey was born the Guns ‘n Roses. We invite you to visit our website or send us an email.

Hockey Heroes (NZ):

The New Zealand boys Craig & Bren have sprung into action and have now formed the a new G & L hockey club the “Hockey Heroes”. The newly formed PinkHockey club is aiming to form both a male and female team to travel to Melbourne for the Asia Pacific OutGames in early 2008. Already they have around 7 members and are busy on a recruitment drive in consultation with the Sydney BentstiX. If you are a New Zealander and wish to play field hockey; your welcome to join them. You can send them an email here, or have a look ad there website

The Melbourne Boys & Girls (Aus):

It was good to see the high levels of enthusiasm and as we become more familiar as a group we can start to focus on the prospect of the OutGames in early 2008. With our first clash coming up against Sydney, we have a core group of players who are keen and seem pretty committed, which is exciting. Ultimately, we still need more players to round out the squad, so I encourage everyone to talk about the whole hockey phenomenon in Melbourne, and cast around generally for interest when and if you get the opportunity. Obviously we will need to work on the recruitment stuff more seriously in the future. South Yarra has become the training pitch for the Melbourne Team. To know more or sign-up, please send an email.

PinkHockey  Stories  &  Interviews

The Dutch hockey Divas are here

We missed them at the Sydney Gay Games 2002, but finally the Dutch Hockey Divas are set up and ready to Rock & Roll. After the Australian, New Sealand and the German girls there is now also a Dutch lesbian field hockey team. Some of them where already active during the PinkHockey ladies day at Munich. But during the EuroGames 2005 in Utrecht the Dutch had two teams in the competation. The Dutch Hockey Divas are still looking for field hockey players. It does not matter if you are a good hockey player or not, participation and enjoyment is the most important requirement. If you are interested or what to know more, have a look at there web-site or send them an e-mail.

The German Women Hockey team

Everything stated in summer 2000, as at different places in Zurich and Koln the idea was born: we are going to be a part of the Gay Games in Sydney, where for the first time our favourite field hockey was part of the competition. We wrote lists of all good friends, slightly known and players from now and then. Read the story of a German gril how was a participant of the Gay Games or go to "Charme on Tour".
